About The Company
The business was originally created in 2000 by CEO Kamara Wagstaff having recognised the need for contract bookkeeping for small to medium sized business. At the time it was a non legislated industry, but things were about to change given the introduction of GST and she quickly established herself in the marketplace as a leader in her field and in 2002 launched Infinity Business Solutions Pty Ltd.
In 2006 IBS moved into their Head Office located in the South East suburb of Mt Waverley, but continue to provide services across the metropolitan area and beyond. In 2009 new legislation was introduced to the bookkeeping industry and embracing the change, all IBS staff and Management undertook extensive formal training.
All IBS consultants have Certificate's IV or higher and stay current through associated memberships and attending numerous training and conferences. In 2010, IBS became a Registered BAS Agent viewable on the Tax Practitioners Board website and reassurance that IBS meet the expectations of the industry standards.
Our CEO
Although IBS work with a variety of accounting programs, in 2004 Kamara became an MYOB Certified Consultant and in 2006 an MYOB Retail Manager Professional and a Reckon Professional Partner. In 2011 she received a commemorative award for her work with the newly introduced MYOB AccountRight Live software and in 2014 she became a Xero Certified Advisor.
Most notably in 2016 she received the inaugural and prestigious national MYOB Innovator of the year award for her commitment to the concept of a "connected practice", nurturing the relationship of Accountant-Bookkeeper-Client. In December 2018 IBS was awarded MYOB Diamond Partner status for which Kamara says could not have been established without the efforts of her entire team of who she is very proud.
In 2018 and 2019, Kamara was a finalist in MYOB's national Certified Consultant of the year award and IBS was a finalist in the Bookkeeping Practice of the year award and were the only Victorian representatives in both categories. In the same year Kamara was honoured by being inducted as a Fellow to the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers for her continued support of fellow bookkeepers, the industry and the profession in general.
Despite being the CEO, Kamara believes it is important to know what bookkeepers face daily and remains actively engaged working with clients. She also proclaims that change can't be feared, as it is a part of a bookkeeper's everyday life, with constant updates to software and never ending legislation. In July 2021 she became an accredited DISC consultant and is currently doing her MBA. Her thirst for knowledge and self improvement, she says, is not only vital to her well being but to that of her colleagues and invaluable for all IBS clients.
